Subject: RE: CHRISTMAS SONG

Dear Pierre, Bilou, Caroline, Sergio and Elianne,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. We hope that 2011 brings you all happiness, good health and prosperity.
Sorry that i have not been in contact with you more regularly over the past year or more, i feel very guilty about it. However i have some more news for you – we became parents again to a third little girl, Hannah Lily Brooks. She was born on 7th October 2010, and since then our household has been very busy. I have attached some photos, first one is of Alex and Hannah, second is Laura, Alex and Hannah, and third is Ian, Hannah and myself.
We had Christmas on the beach this year at Coffs Harbour, a huge change to our normal Christmas at Mum and Dad’s. We went out for Christmas lunch this year, so there was no cooking or washing up!!! The weather was quite cool and we even had some rain on Christmas day, but that did not deter the children and fathers from going to the beach.
Mum and Dad are still on the farm, however my brother, Edward, has returned home to help Dad. They had a very good year with regards to getting the rain when required, however it continued to rain during the harvest time which spoilt the grain. Mum is not enjoying good health at present, the cancer has returned and she is undergoing treatment for that. My eldest sister, Penelope, continues to live in Brisbane with her family of 2 boys and another baby due in February 2011. Emma and her family are in Sydney, she now has 2 girls. And Edward remains unmarried and without children – i think we girls are making up for him!!

Ian continues to work as an electrician in the coal mines, open cut fortunately, given the recent disasters with miners in underground operations. I have been working 2 days a week, up until Hannah arrived and will now take 12 months off work. Life is very busy at home, Alex is now 4 ½ but will not start school until 2012, and Laura is 2 ¾ . Both girls get along very well and like to play together, and they cant wait until Hannah is old enough to play with them.

We hope you are all well, and i look forward to hearing all your news.

All our love,
Sarah, Ian, Alex, Laura and Hannah Brooks.
